The computer-animated film studio, Pixar, has brought the planet films that are adored by kids and even by adults. Pixar has only made 10 films overall so far, yet each of these astonishing movies has been a essential and profit-making victory. As of this date, the studio has earned twenty-two Academy Awards, four Golden Globes and three Grammy's, which have all served to make it one of the most crucially acclaimed film studios in history.

Pixar's triumph begins in the year 1995 with "Toy Story". This charming show follows the life of Woody, the toy cowboy as he competes with "Buzz Lightyear" as the pet toy. "Toy Story 2", the sequel, came out in 1999.

In between the two "Toy Story" movies was "A Bug's Life" in 1998. This is a fun picture about a company of very diligent ants who labor relentlessly to store up food for the wintry weather only to have a collection of voracious, vicious grasshoppers come in and pilfer it all. Things must change, and Flik, an ant, is determined to find some new fighters who will help him stop the evil grasshoppers.

The things that go bump in the night were the stars of the wonderful and remarkable tale, "Monsters, Inc." from the year 2001. This is the story of a group of lovable monsters and how they try to protect a beautiful little girl.

In 2003, the most commercially lucrative Pixar film to date, having grossed over $800 million worldwide, is "Finding Nemo", the yarn of a cute little clown fish, who gets separated from his dad and taken away to live in an aquarium in a dentist's office. The movie follows the escapade as Nemo's dad travels the ocean to locate his son.

Superhero's at their finest hour describes the famous motion picture "The Incredibles" from the year 2004. Mr. and Mrs. Parr, formerly known as Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl try to find happiness in the suburbs by raising a family and having routine jobs under the government protection program. Can Elastigirl and the rest of the Incredible family save Mr. Incredible when he is overwhelmed by the appeal of his past life.

These great films were followed by "Cars' in 2006, a enjoyable movie about a car named Lightning McQueen and what he learns about being happy and triumphant in the township of Radiator Springs. "Ratatouille" in 2007, is about Remy the rat and his ideas of being a cook in a fine French restaurant. And from 2008, a movie all about Love, and the last robot left inhabiting the earth," Wall-E".

And now there is what is predicted to be the best Pixar movie yet. "Up" is a movie about ultimate dreams and following your dreams no matter your age, as an elderly man makes his dreams come true with perseverance and determination. - 23815

Quite surprisingly, the friendship between these four lovely characters is strengthened as each of them discovers their individual strengths, weaknesses, fears, capacities and talents. They realize the greatness and uniqueness of their friendship and learn to value it more.

In this movie, Bridget decides to go back to the summer camp she attended but now as a coach. Also Lena reveals that she went out with Kostas for a while before deciding to break up with him. Both Tibby and McBrian who constantly miss Bailey begin to grow closer to each other unknowingly and finally decide to go out. Carmens mother gets married again to David. Lena then wins a scholarship to the Rhode Island School of Design and sets off to pursue her dreams. Tibby chooses to go to NYU to major in films. Carmen makes it into Yale University and Bridget decides to join Brown Universitys soccer team.

Disappointment cannot be avoided when the first movie was so good compared to the second, as many critics say. The same thing that was appealing in the first movie is now stale in the second. Michael Jackson began his career an adult with 1979's Off the Wall which many look upon as his real debut solo album even though he had already released four solo albums as a youngster. This article is an overview of his six studio albums beginning with Off the Wall through 2001's Invincible.

Off the Wall - Jackson's true solo debut made him a big star with two #1 singles ("Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough" & "Rock with You.") The album has sold over 7 million copies in the US to date and over 20 million copies worldwide.

Thriller - This album made Michael Jackson the biggest pop star in the world. It's still the biggest selling album in the history of the world (and the biggest selling album in the United States as well.) It included two more #1 hits ("Billy Jean" & "Beat It") and an amazing seven top 10 singles. Since the album only had nine total songs that means all but two of it's songs were top 10 hits.

Bad - This album is way too often overlooked in comparison with Thriller just because it didn't match the ridiculous sales numbers of that monumentally album. But what about the five #1 singles that Bad produced? And how about the fact that Jackson wrote 8 of the 10 songs on Bad himself? In my opinion the Bad album is an essential part of the Jackson discography.

Dangerous - Dangerous was actually his biggest selling album as far as first week sales. It's also second (only behind Thriller) as far as total worldwide album sales with over 32 million copies sold in the world. That being said, it only had one #1 hit ("Black or White") which after an album with five #1 hits (Bad) that was something of a disappointment.

HIStory - HIStory included one disc which was a "greatest hits" collection up to that point and a second disc which included all new material. Each disc had 15 songs on it. Among the 15 new songs the most well known are "You Are Not Alone" which hit #1 in the US (and in many other countries around the world) and "Earth Song" which hit #1 in the UK and sold more copies than any other MJ single there.

Invincible - MJ's final album (at least while still living) is considered to be his worst album by almost all music critics and most of his fans. But does that mean it has no redeeming qualities? No. It includes some excellent songs such as "Butterflies" & Threatened" and it featured the hit single "You Rock My World" which reached #10 in the US and #2 in the UK. - 23815
