Nine Oddly Terrific Films For Your Amusement Delight

"Night Nurse" Exceptional, hard story of nurse (Stanwyck) who couldn't ignore unusual goings on in home where she works. Blondell adds zingy aid and it is one of Gable's most impressive early appearances. Cast includes Barbara Stanwyck, Ben Lyon, Joan Blondell, Clark Gable, Charlotte Merriam, and Charles Winninger.

The original from 1992 "Rampage". Pregnant Long Island housewife, not able to deal with married life escapes her husband and picks up a simple minded football player on the street. Cast includes Michael Biehn, AIex McArthur, Robert Duvall, Marya Zimmet, Tom Aldredge, and Laurie Crewes.

Cry the Beloved Country. Moving redo of the 1951 film based on Alan Paton's rejoiced novel, in reference to a backwoods pastor (Jones) who, in 1946, makes his first ever trip to the city of Johannesburg in search of his errant child. At the same time prosperous landowner Harris voyages there to claim the body of his child, who has just been killed. We see unparalleled work by Jones, Harris, and a largely foreign cast. Not as understated as the first making, however powerful in its own way. Cast includes Richard Harris, James Earl Jones, Charles S. Dutton, and Vusi Kunene.

Everybody's favorite motion picture, In God We Trust, Ignorant friar Feldman takes off to Los Angeles. to create money for his monastery. This motion picture is a comedy that is tragically not funny starring Richard Pryor, who is cast as God. Cast includes Marty Feldman, Peter Boyle, Louise Lasser, Richard Pryor, Andy Kaufman, Wilfrid Hyde-White, and Severn Darden.

Cuba Crossing is a timeless movie from the year 1980. Our lead man Stuart Whitman becomes entangled in a plan to take out Fidel Castro. Filmed in Key West, Florida, and at minimum the landscape is pretty. Cast includes Stuart Whitman, Robert Vaughn, Caren Kaye, Raymond St. Jacques, Woody Strode, Sybil Danning, Albert Salmi, and Michael Gazzo.

Like Water for Chocolate hit theaters in 1992, Striking and intense film from a work of fiction by Laura Esquivel set in the early part of the 20th century - a young girl's life is conditioned by her solemn and obstinate mom, who treats her terribly. Magnificent storyline, not without humor, with an excellent cast and a top of the line performance from lead actress Cavazos. Cast includes Lumi Cavazos, Marco Leonardi, Regina Tome, Mario Ivan Martinez, and Ada Carrasco.

South Sea Women is a memorable motion picture from the year 1953. Gloomy island story of love and deception with Cadet Lancaster kindling the fire with Mayo. Cast includes Burt Lancaster, Virginia Mayo, Chuck Connors, Arthur Guards, and Paul Burke.

Everyone's all-time treasured motion picture, The Manchurian Candidate, A modern day rendering of the 1962 movie. Decorated war hero Raymond Shaw is now in place to become the Vice President of the US. His Mother, Senator Eleanor Shaw is pulling all the political strings. A problem is developing for her plans. Major Bennett Marco, a member of Raymond's platoon is beginning to mistrust the events of the day Raymond saved the platoon. Marco is battling an uphill battle, but cannot resist the troublesome impression that something is not right.

No Down Payment, Current suburban soap opera of entangling complications of few youthful wedded twosomes. Cast includes Joanne Woodward, Jeffrey Hunter, Sheree North, Tony Randall, Cameron Mitchell, Patricia Owens, Barbara Hurry, and Pat Hingle. - 23815
