Which Jim Carrey Production is the Finest?

By Tommy Marshall

If you asked a movie fan to name some of the best actors in comedy over the last 20 years, one of the first that comes to mind for most will be Jim Carrey. The famous actor rakes in tens of millions of dollars per move, and it's simply because of the fact that people love him.

As for Carrey's best, it's really a matter of opinion. So many of his movies have been incredibly successful to the point where different fans are bound to have varying opinions when it comes to this.

There are some Carrey lovers who may point to his earliest movies, claiming that Ace Ventura and The Mask were his best.

Carrey's versatility as an actor was definitely showcased in The Mask, as he played a character with an absolutely huge personality.

While Ace Ventura and The Mask were both great movies, a large number of people believe that Dumb and Dumber was even better. The cross country voyage of Carrey and Jeff Daniels provided some of the best movie moments of the'90s, and this movie is still regularly broadcast on television.

A few years later, The Cable Guy came out, and many had mixed opinions about this. Still, there are some who swear that The Cable Guy was Carrey's best and funniest performance. Others prefer his work in Me, Myself, and Irene, another Carrey movie that many believe to be underrated.

Those into the more serious side of Carrey may opt for his great work in movies like The Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Carrey gave sensational performances in both of these movies, each of which earned him consideration for an Oscar in the minds of many.

As you can see, this is a debate that may be really hard to settle. With so many great choices, it all boils down to personal tastes at the end of the day. - 23815
