Enlightening Outlines Of A Cross Section Of Movies From Around The World

By Steve Houston

Check out some movie reviews below. You can get to a good film download site through the search engines. A good movie download search would use phrases such as "Online DVD Rental Services", "Unlimited Movie Rentals", and "Unlimited Movie Downloads".

Defiance: An abrasive little film in reference to rootless blue-collar hermit Vincent, who tries to match up his dying kid's bone marrow to his own. He then tames a ferocious N.Y.C. street gang. Cast includes Jan-Michael Vincent, Craft Camey, Theresa Saldana, and Danny Aiello. (102 minutes, 1980)

The Great McGinty: This film was Sturges' directorial debut (and Oscar winning screenplay) and isn't up to his later comedy classics, however Donlevy is phenomenal as the bum who is put into the governor's chair by crooked politicians and then blows it all by trying to be truthful. Cast includes Brian Donlevy, Muriel Angelus, Akim Tamiroff, Allyn Joslyn, and Louis Jean Heydt. (81 minutes, 1940)

The Sins of Lola Montes: An intense melodrama set in Belgian Congo with Dickinson a missionary nurse engaged in romance and local clashes. Cast includes Angie Dickinson, Peter Finch, Roger Moore, Woody Strode, Rafer Johnson, Juano Hernandez, Mary Wickes, and Scatman Crothers. (124 minutes, 1961)

The Delicate Delinquent: Jerry's first solo attempt after separating with Dean Martin has him as a janitor mistaken for a juvenile delinquent who becomes a cop with McGavin's help. Cast Jerry Lewis, Martha Hyer, Darren McGavin, Horace McMahon, and Milton Frome. (100 minutes, 1957)

The Educators: A verbose and overlong, sarcastic investigation of political idealism and hypocrisy in current Germany. A set of boisterous youthful liberals (Briihl, Erceg) see themselves as 21st-century Robin Hoods, which gives them a reprieve to steal from the rich. Problems surface while Erceg's lady friend (Jentsch) partakes in one of their adventures. (137 minutes, 2004)

Downstairs: A crackling, adult drama in regards to a low life who rests and cajoles his way from one prosperous home to another utilizing both the mistresses of the homes upstairs and the servants downstairs. Gilbert transfers a bold acting job that more than some other reclaims his maligned notoriety as a "talkie" performer. Cast includes John Gilbert, Paul Lukas, Virginia Bruce, Hedda Basket, Reginald Owen, and Olga Bafamilyova. (77 minutes, 1932)

Mark of the Vampire: This film is an admirable, fascinating story of vampires terrorizing European village. The film is beautifully finished, with a marvelous ending. It is a redo of Browning's quiet London after Middle of the night. Cast includes Lionel Barrymore, Elizabeth Allan, Bela Lugosi, Lionel Atwill, Jean Hersholt, and Donald Meek. (61 minutes, 1935)

Barnacle Bill: Beery and Core aid essentially typical material as old vinegar and lady trying to trap him into matrimony. Cast includes Wallace Beery, Matjorie Prime, Leo Carrillo, Virginia Weidler, Donald Softhearted, and Barton Mafamilye. (98 minutes, 1941)

Alien Nation: In the near future, a race of strange-looking aliens is gradually (and grudgingly) being integrated into civilization. World weary L.A. cop (James Caan) takes one of the aliens on as his partner, so he could track down the aliens who murdered his prior associate. Cast includes James Caan, Mandy Patinkin, Terence Stamp, Kevin Chief Howard, and Leslie Bevins. (94 minutes, 1988)

These movies and thousands of others can be downloaded from the internet. You should make some queries with search terms like "Online Movies To Watch" or "Hollywood Movie Rentals" to find more info on downloading movies. If neither of those work use "Download Movies On Line". - 23815
