A Brief List Of Some Amusing Movies
In 1999, the American Film Institute unveiled a listing of the eminent 50 actors of American Movies. While these actors and actresses are tremendous and celebrated, many may judge that the stars of these days have transcended their talent. Nonetheless, these stars from Hollywood's golden era will not ever be forgotten.
Jack of Diamonds - Hamilton plays a cat burglar who pillages jewelry from Baker, Gabor, and Palmer, who are "special guests" in this motion picture. The Believer - Brutal appraisal of a young Jewish man in N.Y.C. who opts to become a neo-Nazi skinhead. He struggles with the contradiction between his values and his heritage. Gosling gives a stellar performance as the youthful Jewish man which is loosely based on a true story. Cast includes Ryan Gosling, Summer Phoenix, Billy Zane, Theresa Russell, Glenn Fitzgerald and Ronald Guttman. (98 minutes, 2002)
Adios Amigo - Peculiar western comedy, written, produced, and directed by Williamson, who in addition plays a role in the movie along with con guy Pryor. There is no sex or violence in this benign movie, but it just doesn't quite work. Cast includes Fred Williamson, Richard Pryor, Thalmus Rasulala, James Brown, and Robert Phillips. Directed by Fred Williams (1975-Comedy 87 minutes rated PG)
The Bourne Ultimatum - In the third film of the succession, Jason Bourne is still being hunted by those who had trained him into the extreme assassin that he is. Having lost his memory when almost being killed, Bourne is retracing his past to try to know who he was, and why everybody wants him dead. All his skills are put to the test, as the C.I.A. is unremitting in its effort to have him eliminated. Starring Matt Damon and Julia Stiles.
Happy Gilmore - Hockey player Happy Gilmore finds his slap shot power translates into 400 yard plus drives in golf. Needing money to help his grandma save her house, he is going to attempt pro golf. His putting is as poor as his driving is good, so he has a lot to learn. Overcoming all odds, Happy wins the tour championship and now can save grandma's house.
