A Selection Of Informative Movie Reviews To Check Out

By Muriel Ford

For years now, the video store was the way to get movies. High speed internet access has now made it possible to download movies right off a movie download site. Let's look at what you might find to watch using a movie download site.

For Queen and Country: This is a striking modern day thriller of Life in England. Washington is well cast as a prior paratrooper who battles for existence in an environment of racism, poverty, and corruption, and then loses his British citizenship due to a legal technicality. Cast includes Denzel Washington, Dorian Healey, Amanda Redman, Ocean Chapman, and Bruce Payne. (105 minutes, 1989)

Amistad: This film is based on the true story of an unsuccessful mutiny aboard a slave ship in 1839 bound for the US. The subsequent trial would put the entire foundation of the US legal system on trial. Three great men, abolitionist Theodore Joadson, lawyer Roger Baldwin, and former president John Quincy Adams fight for the freedom, and civil rights, of the African slaves.

Beverley Hills Cop 3: Axel Foley is back in action. He witnesses his boss being murdered and immediately starts an investigation. This leads him back to L.A. where the clues lead him to a counterfeit ring run out of an amusement park.

The Village: Set in the 19th century, people live in a seemingly wonderful little village, but there is a problem. There is a race of 'creatures' that live surrounding the village. No one inside the village dares to go outside the city. One person, Luscious Hunt, has a strong urge to see what is out there. Eventually the world outside the village is exposed, and chaos ensues.

Black Narcissus: Visually sumptuous, dramatically charged film, from a Godden novel. Nuns are trying to develop a mission in a remote Himalayan outpost among difficult visible and spiritual tests. One of the most amazing color films ever made (deserved Oscars for cinematographers Jack Cardiff and Alfred Junge). Scenes in which Sister Better Kerr recollects her prior life was eliminated from the US version. Cast includes Deborah Kerr, David Farrar, Jean Simmons, and Kathleen Byron. (100 minutes, 1999)

Rockula: Teenage vampire Cameron is powerless to lose his virginity due to an age-old hex. Cast includes Dean Cameron, Tawny Fere, Susan Tyrrell, Bo Diddley, Thomas Dolby, and Toni Basil. (87 minutes, 1990)

Casper: Casper is a friendly ghost that lives in a haunted house, Whipstaff Manor. The owner of Whipstaff Manor has sent Dr. Harvey, who is accompanied by his daughter Kat, to remove all the ghosts from the house so she can recover the treasure that is supposedly in the old manor. What will be poor Casper's fate?

The Accidental Tourist: This movie tells the story of Macon Leary, who is listless after the death of his son. This is compounded further when his wife decides to leave him because he won't snap out of it. With a divorce pending he finds himself involved with a new woman, who is helping bring him back to life. Now his wife decides to have him back, and he is faced with more tough questions. William Hurt, Kathleen Turner, Geena Davis, Amy Wright, and Bill Pullman star. (1988 Drama)

All at Sea: Strong comedy that keeps its own all the way through. Guinness is adorable as sailor who couldn't bear the sight of water although purchases rundown home on a wharf, turning it into an entertainment palace. Original title was Barnacle Bill. Cast includes Alec Guinness, Irene Browne, Percy Herbert, and Harold Goodwin. (87 minutes, 1957)

Remember, be creative and use phrases like "Divx Movie Download". Try a different search if the first one does not provide good information. We would recommend trying "Where To Download Movies" for new search results. - 23815
