Famous Books To Fantastic Motion Pictures For 2009

By Nicole V Peterson

Occasionally a magnificent motion picture begins as a script and now and then a good motion picture starts as a terrific book. Many of the best films started in an novelist's imagination as he wrote a book. Here are a few highlights of books to films for the year 2009.

"My Sister's Keeper" was released in June of 2009. Based on the volume of the same name by Jodi Picoult, it follows the tribulations of a family with a ill adolescent, who conceived another child via in-vitro fertilization in order to have a genetic equal to keep the first kid living. The movie is a heartfelt tearjerker, on the other hand the misrepresented finish in the film will dissatisfy everybody who has read the book.

"The Time Traveler's Wife" based upon the best-selling narrative of the same name by Audrey Niffenegger hits theaters in August 2009. It stars Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams. It is a romantic drama about the life of a man who travels through time and how that affects his marriage to his soul mate.

Another film from the summer of 2009 was based upon 2 books, "Julie and Julia: 365 days, 524 recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen" by Julie Powell and "My Life in France" by the great chef Julia Childs and Alex Prud-homme. "Julie and Julia" is a brilliant comedy about the lives of these two women.

"Taking Woodstock" is based upon the memoir of Elliot Tibor, a young gay man who unintentionally helped to make the most legendary rock concert in history come alive, The Woodstock Music and Arts Festival from 1969. Based upon the story of the same name, the movie is directed by Ang Lee.

If you want your kids to have hysterics and laugh, you need to read them "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs". If you are keen on the book you can look forward to the motion picture by the same name that comes out in September 2009. Featuring Anna Faris, James Caan and the Saturday Night Live crew of Bill Hader, Andy Samberg and Tracy Morgan it is sure to be very funny if it comes even close to the book.

Another timeless kid's book will be released as a film in October 2009. "Where the Wild Things Are" is about the adventures of a young boy christened Max who imagines that he sails away to where the wild things are. Based upon the long beloved kid's book of the identical name.

October will bring us "The Road" starring Viggo Mortensen and Charlize Theron. Based upon the best-selling and Pulitzer Prize winning story by Cormac McCarthy. It is an epic saga of a expedition taken by a father and his young son in post apocalyptic times. "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold will be released as a movie in December 2009. This heart-wrenching storyline centers on a little girl who has been murdered and is watching over her family unit and the goings-on on Earth from heaven.

And there you have just a few of the motion pictures adaptations that are coming out in 2009. If you are the type who wants to read the book before seeing the movie, now is your chance. - 23815
