Face Off: Trying to take down a vicious terrorist, an FBI agent takes things to an extraordinary level. He has his face altered to look like his rival. When the terrorist replaces his own face with that of the FBI agent's no one knows who is who.
Jupiter's Wife: Gripping documentary in regards to a middle-aged destitute female whom filmmaker Negroponte chanced to confront in NY's Medial Parle She claims to have ESP and be the spouse of the lord Jupiter and baby girl of the late performer Robert Ryan! Negroponte delves into her past and finds relatively a few astonishments in this incredibly moving picture of a shattered life. (78 minutes, 1994)
Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm: Contrived however amusing, with definite factors from earlier Church films threw into easy tale of Scott trying to make Shirley a stereo megastar. King of Jazz: Million dollar lyrical revue, shot in 2-color Technicolor format, is filled with bigger-than-life production numbers and remarkable melodies. Highlights contain Walter Lantz's animation pattern, Joe Venuti's swing violin, youthful Bing Crosby with the Tempo Boys, and, obviously, Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" which in early Technicolor is more a rhapsody in turquoise. Cast includes Paul Whiteman and His Orchestra, John Boles, Jeanette Loff, The Tempo Boys Bing Crosby, Al Rinker, and Harry Barris. (93 minutes, 1930)
Mr. Peabody and The Mermaid: Gentle comedy-fantasy by Nunnally Johnson has its minutes, with unsuspecting Powell finding a pleasant mermaid when fishing. Powell makes anything look excellent. Cast includes William Powell, Ann Blyth, Irene Hervey, Andrea Emperor, and Clinton Sundberg. (89 minutes, 1948)
D2: The Mighty Ducks: Hockey player Gordon Bombay is out for the year with a knee injury. Surprisingly he is given the job of head coach of Team USA for The Goodwill Games coming up. Many of the players are former Mighty Ducks players. Can they come together to pull off a big upset and win the world championships?
The Prince and the Showgirl: Considerate although dull-moving comedy of saucy American show gal Monroe being courted by Prince Regent of Carpathia Olivier throughout the 1911 coronation of George V. Filmed in England, with admirable behaviors by Monroe and Olivier. Cast includes Laurence Olivier, Sybil Thorndike, Jeremy Spencer, and Richard Wattis. (117 minutes, 1957)
