Adventures Continue in True Blood Season 2 Episode 3

By Joseph Archibald

In the third episode of the current Season 2 of True Blood, showing on HBO television, Sookie Stackhouse, of all people, got attacked, once again. This time by a thing with the body of a human and the head of a bull. Mmmm, interesting! A Dr Ludwig explains that she has been scratched by something and has been infected by a type of poison. He proceeds to cure her.

Sookie, after being healed of her wounds, learns about Lafayette being held captive in Eric Northmans basement. So off she goes to confront Eric and get Lafayette set free.

Sookie confronts Eric about this and shows him her irritation (to say the least!) and manages to negotiate with Eric to let Lafayette go free. In return she will help to locate Erics friend " Godric in addition to getting $10,000 from Eric. Nice deal Sookie! Will Eric keep his promise and leave Lafayette alone?

Whats going down with Jason Stackhouse? Is he coming to his senses and is he going to walk away from the camp from hell? Sarah asks him to come to dinner and he happily accepts. Whats going to go on there then we have to wonder?

Hoyte and Jessica are finally getting it together. Jessica meets up with him in Merlottes and gets all nervous about the occasion but is comfortable with her being a vampire. Jessica takes Hoyte back to Bills house after supper to play wii. Bill returns however and gets mad.

Tara is wondering about Sam Merlotte and why he hates her so she asks MaryAnn. MaryAnn being the sneaky character we know her to be, does not wish to say. Lets hope Tara does choose to move out of MaryAnns house and in with Sookie, dont you agree?

While this is all going on, Sam is meanwhile treating Daphne like trash and heads out for a run. He then goes swimming in the local lake. Daphne follows him and while she is in the process of taking her clothes off we spot some deep scratches on her back. Hmm, what do we think caused those scratches? It maybe that Daphne is the thing that attacked Sookie earlier who knows right now?

Its a bit confusing if you have read the books " quite a big deviation. I suspect if you have read the books and you did enjoy the books then this particular episode of True Blood may not entirely be doing it for you.

On the other hand, having seen the previews for the next episode, perhaps Im being a bit harsh here. Lets hope then that the previews live up to their promise and we are indeed treated to some real pleasures still to come! - 23815
