Strange Cargo: Fascinating metaphorical film of hostages fleeing from Devil's Island with Christ-like presence of Hunter. Not for all tastes, although there are fine, practical behaviors and flavorful Franz Waxman score. Cast includes Joan Crawford, Clark Gale, Ian Hunter, Peter Lorre, Albert Dekker, Paul Lukas, and Eduardo Ciannelli. (113 minutes, 1940)

Night At The Museum: When Larry took the job as security guard and the National History Museum he had no idea what he was getting. Armed with a flashlight and an instruction book, he is on his own in the huge building. Amazingly, everything in the museum starts to come to life. From beasts to world leaders, everything is now alive. He has dreamed of being a hero all his life, his moment has now arrived.

The Break Up: Jennifer Anniston (Brook) and Vince Vaughn (Gary) star in this romantic comedy. After a fight they decide to break up. The catch is neither will move out of the apartment.

The Ploughman's Lunch: Difficult, skeptical condemnation of British behaviors, ethics and affairs of state, focusing on the exercises of completely selfish stereo journalist Pryce and others throughout the Falklands battle. The film is relatively perceptive, within the restraints of its outlook. Cast includes Jonathan Pryce, Tim Curry, Rosemary Harris, Blunt Finlay, and Charlie Dore. (100 minutes, 1983)

The Ring 2: A few months have passed since Rachel and her son Aiden left Seattle. They still have haunting memories of Samara, and her videotape, which produced so much death. Now living in a small coastal town in Oregon, they hope to get on with a normal life. An unmarked video shows up at a crime scene in a small town and bringing terror to the inhabitants.

The Gaucho: Cheesy melodramatics and moralizing, and not enough action hinder this lesser Fairbanks piece, in which he plays a famed, egocentric South American man. Cast includes Douglas Fairbanks, Lupe Velez, Eve Southern, Gustav von Seyffertitz, Nigel de Brulier, and Geraine Greear. (96 minutes, 1927)

Groundhog Day: The strangest thing is happening to TV reporter Phil. Bored out of his mind after doing Ground Hog Day for the fourth straight year, he wakes up the next morning, and it's Ground Hog Day again. Every day he wakes up, and again it's Ground Hog Day. Will it ever end?

The Doors: The film tells the story of the Doors, and particularly Jim Morrison the bands dominant force. We see the band grow, and as it does, Morrison falls deeper and deeper into a drug and alcohol induced state. He dies at the young age of 27.

Kingdom Come: Regimen tirade of a minister who uses the auspices of the temple to guard a gal on a Mafia hit list. Obviously, he falls in love with her. Obviously, he additionally occurs to be the child of a Mafia chieftain himself. And obviously, the office sent this one un-crooked to video. Cast includes LL Cool J, Jada Pinkett Smith, Vivica A. Fox, Whoopi Goldberg, Loretta Devine, Anthony Anderson, Toni Zuniga, Chicky Vennera, Anne Tomey, Dane Clark, Paul Dooley, and Vassili Lambrinos. (92 minutes, 2001)
